Agree 100% on Cabinet appointments. Less so on that creature jumping towards the pellet. P.S. If Kamala thinks Pete will be out of sight out of mind in China, I don't agree. That seems about the most vital Ambassadorship one could get. Plus, he's presumably learning Mandarin as we speak (or cantonese just to be snarky -- go Hong Kong!) and can show that off on TV.

I love that little beast. It's an African primate, apparently. I think if he has to be an ambassador, to China is pretty prestigious. But UN ambassador would have been better, or even better, HUD, to bone up his minority chops.

It is not Vice president-elect Harris who is making the very silly suggestion that the ambassador to China is out of sight and out of mind. It is Mr. Aravosis. In any event, now that Buttigieg IS in the cabinet, this is moot.

I think Pete, as an openly gay, married person is an excellent choice as AMBASSADOR OF AMERICAN VALUES to China. Where you don't really score points for being gay, openly or not. Think of it as LGBTQ VOICE OF AMERICA. An excellent voice.

That's a fair point, Cathy. I'm less worried about Pete as a Cabinet pick, than I am about SOMEONE from our community finally making it into the Cabinet.
