I posted a long video summary of the latest news on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and took questions from the TikTok audience about where things are heading.
Thanks. People like it on TikTok, I continuously had around 2700 people watching throughout the entire talk, but I worry it’s a bit long to share here. But I figured why not
Its quite easy - simply log on to your YouTube account (I pay for Premium as it makes YouTube advertisement-free and its only $11.99/month). Click on Upload Video on the upper right and click "Go Live" which will take you to the Live streaming page. My friend Dan Newton ("Daddy Squeeze" from Prairie Home Companion) does this every Monday at noon your time for a live and very entertaining session of songs accompanied by his superb accordion playing. If he can do it, anyone can.
By the way, your Live posts at 7PM ET are fantastic! As are your other posts. I appreciated yesterday's mention of the saran-wrapped Russian soldier. That response by the outraged Ukrainians gives me hope for the world.
I was watching today's live on TikTok when it ended abruptly 45 minutes in. I am outraged by TikTok's action. Screw TikTok! Why don't you go live on YouTube instead? Its a very easy platform to use and Live broadcasts are archived easily.
I saw. I'm going to sleep on it, I'm just so pissed. I've built up 360,000 followers on TikTok, and have never liked Youtube -- though have never used YouTube for LIVE. That might just work. It works on TikTok, and is worth a try. Let me sleep on this. Maybe I'll schedule one on YT and promote it on TT and see what happens.
As a lawyer, I suspect you could Sue 'em back to the Stone Age for violating your Free Speech rights. But then there are much better things to spend one's time on.
Meanwhile, most of your followers are equally pissed off by this (as am I) and rooting for you!
Am glad you are on Substack as well, along with other greats such as Heather Cox Richardson. I am too - this was probably my best post. If you have ever been to Ivar's in Seattle it will be funnier. Woody Guthrie sand about this restaurant in his song "Acres of Clams". Enjoy!
This was very helpful - such a range of information!

And I may. Have never tried Youtube live, but I may have to.
I am so ticked, I'm writing it up now.
see my comment about YouTube live above in case you missed it.

Not really free speech rights, they're a private company. They do however have a problem in terms of not complying with their own terms of service.
