I’m still experiencing PTSD from 2016 but I’ve got to admit seeing the bloated lard sack spurt, sputter and tantrum is entertaining... even if it means he’s desperate enough to become really dangerous. Taking momentary pleasure in witnessing his pain feels good

That describes to a T how I feel. I’m scarred from 2000, 2004 (I still remember them calling the election for Kerry, and then suddenly it was uncalled!), and 2016. But boy I am having some major schadenfreude watching Trump lose it in slow motion. Does that make me bad? :-)

I learned my lesson after 2016, 2004, and 2000. No election is guaranteed, even after it’s guaranteed!

Unfortunately it looks like they retained the Senate so McConnell’s likely gonna be as big a PITA as ever. That’s gonna hurt

Maybe. We still have the Georgia run-off, and there is still some intrigue with Alaska, where the votes are coming in very slowly.

Watching the Republicans refuse to acknowledge the election results and McConnell publicly backing Trump in a mealy mouthed way has me more worried than ever about how dangerous this moment is. I know your piece is accurate. I just hope it's not prescient.

I’m actually writing about this right now. I’m talking to some election experts about how the whole electoral vote process works, and what it would take for Republicans to steal the electors
