Tell cable to drop OAN over call for mass executions

Pearson Sharp, a “journalist” with pro-Trump One America News, suggested that tens of thousands of Americans be executed as traitors for having “stolen” the 2020 presidential election.

I reported yesterday that Pearson Sharp, a self-proclaimed “seasoned journalist” with Donald Trump’s favorite propaganda network, One American News (OAN), suggested on-air that executing the “tens of thousands” of Americans who “stole” the 2020 election from Donald Trump would be a “very good solution.”

Sharp is now claiming that he didn’t say what he clearly said.

Below is the video and transcript of Sharp’s comments. Judge for yourselves. After that, I’m going to give you contact information for the TV cable providers who are carrying OAN, including such big-names as AT&T, Verizon and DIRECTV.

We can all agree that calls for mass executions of Biden voters, elections officials, and lawmakers who certified the 2020 election surely have no place in American society or American television. Especially after the deadly violence that took place on January 6th.

“How many people were involved in these efforts to undermine the election? Hundreds? Thousands? Tens of thousands? How many people does it take to carry out a coup against the presidency?”
“When all the dust settles from the audit in Arizona and the potential audits in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Wisconsin, what happens to all these people who are responsible for overthrowing the election? What are the consequences for traitors who meddled with our sacred democratic process and tried to steal power by taking away the voices of the American people? What happens to them?”
“Well, in the past, America had a very good solution for dealing with such traitors: Execution.”
“Treason is considered the highest of all crimes and is the only crime defined in the U.S. Constitution which states that anyone is guilty of treason if they support America’s enemies.”
“So far, there have been numerous indications that foreign governments, including China and Pakistan, meddled in our election to install Joe Biden as president. Any Americans involved in these efforts—from those who ran the voting machines to the very highest government officials—is guilty of treason under U.S. Code 2381, which carries with it the penalty of death.”

These are the lies, and the type of extremist rhetoric, that led to the deadly January 6th assault on the US Capitol building. What Sharp is saying isn’t just false, it’s dangerous.

For the good of the country, AT&T, Direct TV, GCI, Verizon and the rest must remove OAN from their cable packages.
